2021 year in review

It’s hard to find words to accurately describe a year that started with an attempted coup and is closing out with omicron. These sure are strange times… On a personal level, I feel extremely fortunate that my consulting business has remained steady and even grown despite the ups and downs the world has experienced.

In 2021, I worked with 11 new clients, expanded into four new states and increased my client roster 67% over last year. Despite my decision to cut my work week down to four days, I still hear from clients that I’m responsive and 100% of clients surveyed say they’re extremely satisfied with my services.

I continue to support clients building a better world and have turned down multiple inquiries from businesses whose values do not align with mine. 44% of my clients are women-run operations, 24% focus on environmental sustainability and 24% are community organizations. In addition to taking on a handful pro-bono clients, this year I raised nearly $1,000 for the non-profit, Earth Guardians, by selling a calendar of my photography.

I feel lucky to have a network of smart and talented freelance consultants that I occasionally collaborate with to provide additional support for my clients. And I am ever-grateful to have developed lasting relationships with many of my clients. I look forward to continue support their important work in 2022!
